HABA MEGA - underground waste compactors will be installed to The New Turku Market Square during coming summer. The place is a popular meeting point and the heart of Turku's commercial centre. The market square is one of the largest central squares in Europe.
The Invisible Giant of Waste Management - HABA MEGA
HABA MEGA waste compactor is a space-saving and stylish waste collection system for all locations in which environment poses challenges to the designer. The system has only a small bin on the ground, but the assembly underground consist of two units: a container with a metal frame and a compactor. In this project the underground compactors hold more than 200 m3 of uncompacted waste.
